Things to Do in Bedford This Weekend (August 15–16)

BEDFORD / LAWRENCE COUNTY — Mid-August is still full summer in southern Indiana, and there’s plenty happening around Bedford and nearby this weekend if you’re looking to get out.

Saturday, August 15

5th Annual Cement City Cruise-In
Lehigh Field, 211 N. Meridian Road, Mitchell
8:00 a.m. – noon
Classic cars, trucks, and family-friendly atmosphere. Registration runs through noon ($20 entry). Proceeds benefit the La-Or-Ma Shrine Club. A solid Saturday morning outing if you like looking at vehicles or just want a low-key community event.

Mammal March at Spring Mill State Park
Lakeview Activity Center
10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
A short guided walk looking for signs of the mammals that live in the park. Good for families or anyone who likes a light nature activity.

BNL Boys Soccer Season Opener & 40th Year Alumni Celebration
Bedford North Lawrence Soccer Turf

The season starts with recognition of alumni and the program’s first coach, Sandy Zehr. Local high-school sports atmosphere and a chance to catch the Stars in action.

In Search of Spiders
Buddha Karst Preserve
6:00 p.m.
An evening program focused on the spiders found in the preserve. Free and geared toward anyone curious about the smaller wildlife around us.

Donaldson Cave Hike
